SPORTSMANSHIP

🏅 Sportsmanship Expectations for Parents of Student-Athletes
At Stanton College Preparatory School, we believe athletics provide more than competition — they offer a platform to build character, community, and lifelong values. As parents, you play a vital role in setting the tone for our athletic culture. We ask that you support not only your child but all student-athletes, coaches, and officials with respect, grace, and encouragement.

We embrace the spirit of Ubuntu, an African philosophy meaning "I am because we are." It reminds us that our actions affect the whole. When we show respect in the stands, uplift each other, and model good sportsmanship, we strengthen our team — not just on the scoreboard, but in our school and community.

Cheer passionately, but positively. Let the coaches coach, the officials officiate, and the athletes play. Encourage perseverance over perfection, effort over outcome, and unity over ego. Together, let’s cultivate a supportive environment where every student can grow, thrive, and be proud to wear Stanton blue.
